Vietnam has been listed as a “restricted” country on the Ministry of Interior (MOI)’s website, meaning nationals from that country have been required to first obtain pre-approval from the MOI as a condition of obtaining a consular visa, and have not been eligible for an eVisa or visa-on-arrival.
Although the MOI’s website still lists Vietnamese nationals as “restricted”, this is expected to be updated in the coming days.
This policy change seeks to boost tourism and encourage investment from Vietnam.
