Effective October 12, 2025, U.S. nationals applying for a business or tourist visa to Mali must pay a visa bond ranging between USD 5,000 to USD 10,000.
The bond financially guarantees that the traveler will comply with visa conditions and a timely departure from the country.
The visa bond must be paid in advance and will be forfeited if the traveler overstays their permitted period of stay.
