Reduced Stay Periods Implemented for Visa-Free Entry  to Russia

The maximum stay for most visa-free foreign nationals in Russia has been reduced to 90 days per calendar year, down from the previous 90 days within any 180-day period.

In very limited circumstances, such foreign nationals can extend their stay, including for employment, education, and family ties with Russian nationals by submitting a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs before their current stay expires.

Note that visa-free nationals from countries that are members of bilateral agreements may be subject to other duration-related rules.
