Singapore Implements Stricter No-Boarding Directive
February 09, 2026 | by Nomadic
As of January 30, 2026, Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) now issues notices to airlines listing in-bound passengers who do not meet entry requirements or are deemed undesirable.
Airlines must deny boarding to these travelers, who may request entry approval from ICA before arranging an alternative flight to Singapore.
ICA will also receive advance passenger data for enhanced screening, and non‑compliant airlines, pilots, or staff may face fines of up to SGD 10,000, imprisonment of up to six months, or both.
