Visa-free Entry to Canada for Qatari Nationals

It is no longer a requirement for Qatari nationals to obtain a temporary resident visa when traveling to Canada. Now, they must utilize the electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) program, like other visa-exempt nationals.

An eTA is generally valid for up to five years or until the traveler’s passport expires, whichever comes first, and typically allows the holder to visit for a maximum of 180 days.

Nationals of Qatar who already hold a valid Canadian temporary resident visa may continue to use it until the visa expires or until the associated passport is no longer valid.

Those without a valid visa must obtain an eTA before traveling to Canada.
