Visa-free Entry to Canada for Qatari Nationals
It is no longer a requirement for Qatari nationals to obtain a temporary resident visa when traveling to Canada. Now, they must use the electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) program, in much the same way as other visa-exempt nationals.
An eTA is generally valid for up to five years or until the traveler’s passport expires, whichever comes first. Typically, the holder is allowed to visit Canada for a maximum of 180 days.
Nationals of Qatar who already hold a valid Canadian temporary resident visa may continue to use it until it expires or until the passport with which it is associated ceases to be valid.
Travelers without a valid visa are required to obtain an eTA before they travel to Canada.
