Waiver of Fingerprint Requirement for Short-term Visa Applicants to China

Chinese consular posts in eight countries will continue to waive fingerprint collection for all applicants seeking short‑term visas with stays of up to 180 days until December 31, 2026.
The waiver applies to applications submitted at Chinese consular posts in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Macao SAR, New Zealand, the Palestinian Territories, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. It was originally scheduled to expire on 31 December 2025.
Third‑country nationals applying at these consulates are also covered by the waiver.
