Brazil Introduces Temporary Visa Waiver for Chinese Nationals
May 08, 2026 | by Nomadic
From 11 May to 31 December 2026, Brazil is waiving visa requirements for Chinese nationals travelling for short-term purposes, including tourism, business, transit, and certain non-remunerated activities.
The waiver allows stays of up to 30 days per year and does not permit employment or extended residence. For longer stays, travelers must apply for an appropriate visa.
This temporary, reciprocity-based measure is designed to simplify travel, reduce administrative barriers, and support increased business, tourism, and bilateral engagement between Brazil and China.
