Chad to Introduce Visa-Free Travel for African Nationals

Chad has announced that, from 1 January 2027, nationals of African countries will be able to enter the country without a visa for business and tourism purposes.

The move is designed to support regional integration, encourage trade and investment, and facilitate the movement of people across Africa.

The change will see Chad join a growing number of African nations, including Benin, Kenya, Republic of Congo Rwanda, Seychelles and The Gambia, that have adopted similar visa-free policies for African travellers.
