Mainland China: Visa-Free Entry Announced for Nationals of Five European Countries and Malaysia
UPDATE: January 24, 2023: Nomadic understands that Ireland and Switzerland will also be added to the list of countries benefiting from visa-free entry; note, no start date has yet been confirmed.
According to a government announcement, from December 1, 2023, until November 30, 2024, nationals of France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Spain will be able to enter Mainland China without a visa for tourism, business, family visits or transit for up to 15 days. Those seeking to enter to conduct other activities or stay for more than 15 days will still require a visa to enter Mainland China.
